American Seniors Housing Association - The American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) was formed in 1991. Members of ASHA are executives involved in the operation, development and finance of the entire spectrum of seniors housing – independent living, assisted living, and continuing care retirement communities.

National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) - Since its creation, NIC has served as a valuable resource to lenders, investors, developers/operators, and others interested in meeting the housing and healthcare needs of America's seniors.  The mission of NIC is to advance the seniors housing and care industry by facilitating informed investment decision-making and providing excellence in networking, professional education and research.

American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) - AAHSA's commitment is to create the future of aging services through quality people can trust.  AAHSA  is committed to the advancement of six consumer-centered ideals about aging services initially espoused by the founders: dignity of all persons at every stage of life, services people need, when they need them, in the place they call home, quality that people can trust, mission-driven, not-for-profit values, advocacy for the right public policy for the right reasons and leadership through shared learning.

International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing (IAHSA) -Connecting and supporting care and service providers worldwide to enhance the quality of life for the ageing.

Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) - The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) is the largest national association exclusively dedicated to professionally-operated assisted living communities for seniors. ALFA's member-driven programs promote business and operational excellence through national conferences, research, publications and executive networks. ALFA works to influence public policy by advocating for informed choice, quality care and accessibility for all Americans seeking assistance with long-term care.

American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) - Founded in 1962, ACHCA is a non-profit membership organization which provides superior educational programming, certification in a variety of positions, and career development for its members.  Guided by the vision that dynamic leadership forges long term health care services that are desired, meaningful, successful, and efficient, ACHCA identifies, recognizes, and supports long term care leaders, advocating for their mission and promoting excellence in their profession.

American Health Care Association - The American Health Care Association (AHCA) is a non-profit federation of affiliated state health organizations, together representing more than 10,000 non-profit and for-profit assisted living, nursing facility, developmentally-disabled, and subacute care providers that care for more than 1.5 million elderly and disabled individuals nationally.  AHCA represents the long term care community to the nation at large – to government, business leaders, and the general public. It also serves as a force for change within the long term care field, providing information, education, and administrative tools that enhance quality at every level.

National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) - Your source for leadership in the assisted living profession, serving our members through consumer education, networking opportunities, public affairs, professional development and a respected voice in public policy advocacy.

National Council on  The Aging - Founded in 1950, The National Council on the Aging is a national network of organizations and individuals dedicated to improving the health and independence of older persons and increasing their continuing contributions to communities, society and future generations.

McKnight's Long Term Care News & Assisted Living - McKnight's Long Term Care News is a business news magazine serving the institutional long-term care field. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services - CMS is the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Formerly known as the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), we are the federal agency responsible for administering the Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance), HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), and several other health-related programs.

National Institute on Aging - NIA, one of the 27 Institutes and Centers of NIH, leads a broad scientific effort to understand the nature of aging and to extend the healthy, active years of life. In 1974, Congress granted authority to form NIA to provide leadership in aging research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs relevant to aging and older people. Subsequent amendments to this legislation designated the NIA as the primary Federal agency on Alzheimer’s disease research
